Alaska’s space industry had a rough few weeks. After cancelling several launches from the Pacific Spaceport Complex, most recently due to a fishing boat that found itself in the safety zone, KTOO reports that the Alaska Aerospace Corporation is seeking larger launch windows from the Federal Aviation Administration, and the US Coast Guard.
A wayward boat scuttled Astra’s launch attempt Sunday. They’ll try again Tuesday.
